Emily grew up in the Lansdale, Pennsylvania area.  She went to college in Philadelphia and graduated with a master’s degree.  She began crafting at a young age, and learned to sew from her mother.  Emily dabbled in different things to sew – clothing and bags, before starting to quilt in 2014.  Her first quilt was a baby blanket for her first child.  Today, she concentrates on quilting traditional patterns with the occasional modern twist.

Luke grew up in Clearwater, Florida. After graduating High School he went into the Navy, where he served 3 tours in 4 years. Afterwards he went to college, then worked in the video game industry as a designer and community manager, before completing his degree in business. He became a Supervisor and eventually a Manager in several retail locations.

Together they have 3 children, 2 cats, and a dog. Alice’s Basket is here to provide quality quilting and sewing materials to the area that can be used to create cherished quilts and other items.  They hope to serve the community as a family for many years to come.

Special thanks to Sullivan Vega for assistance with the logo. Sullivan and Luke served together in the Navy and have kept in touch ever since.
